A Retrospective: The week that was – 19w21

Let the countdown end.

I have a week’s vacation planned which starts on June 2nd, 2019, which is tomorrow.

It means that I started to cross-off days on my mental calendar since Monday. Today’s Friday. Once I swipe out today at 5:22 PM, I won’t be setting foot in office until June 10th, 2019.

The excitement of going on a vacation has not dulled the torture of a stressful week. I struggled to keep up the pace of my story development and the defect fixes. Software development can suck the life out of you. It has for me, for sure.

The last vacation was in January. Four months have passed since I went home. I am excited for free time to rejuvenate. Another part of me, however, is worried about the temperature. Pune (where I work) is too warm this year, but my native place is HOT.

I guess I will have to manage.

I hope to post some book reviews while I am away on the break.
