Summary

The episode starts with a diary entry by Taha. He sits down to do calligraphy but can’t focus on anything, except being mesmerised by the beauty of Husn-e-Jehan.

Abdul Alaa narrates the story to Qalb-e-Momin – a tale of love between Taha and Husn-e-Jehan. Abdul Alaa feels that Taha is doing wrong by choosing a dancer over him. His words insult Husn-e-Jehan and she decides to avenge by hurting Abul Alaa’s ‘pride’. Taha and Husn-e-Jehan get married, despite Sultan advising otherwise.

Taha continuously writes to his father to apologize, but Abdul Alaa never responds. His heart, however, has softened after knowing about Qalb-e-Momin’s birth.

Taha and Husn-e-Jehan struggle in their life. Taha finds it difficult to earn bread and butter for his family. His work has lost its charm. He feels guilty and ashamed at the same time. Ashamed that he can’t feel the love for Allah the way  he used to. Guilty, that he can’t provide a life that he promised to Husn-e-Jehan.

It is shown that Qalb-e-Momin’s causes a fight between his parents by telling Taha about the letters his mother receives from Paksitan. It is revealed that Taha doesn’t like Sultan, a bit of jealousy there. Sultan visits Husn-e-Jehan and Husn-e-Jehan asks Qalb-e-Momin to wait outside. Taha gets some work and returns home happily, only to find his son outside. Qalb-e-Momin spills the beans and Taha leaves the house – forever.

He has died and buried without his family knowing about it.

The story moved a bit forward, but we knew most of it.

The episode ends when Momin asks his grandpa about the second marriage of Husn-e-Jahan.

And the reader is left with another month of wait.

Internalizing

All the shit that happened to the characters, in my opinion, is due to their quick judgements and hasty reactions.

That’s exactly what we do in our daily life. And its time that we stop doing that. Look at these characters. It did no good to them. It will do no good to us.
