Alif | Episode 17

Qalb-e-Momin is in a dilemma. Those paintings are his only way to get finance. The catch 22 situation leaves him with no option but to agree to Momina’s demands.

Momina meets Master Ibrahim, another major player in the story.

So, finally she knows that Qalb-e-Momin is Husn-e-Jahan’s son. Dumbo!

Again…. What’s with the flashbacks… Abhi scene hua abhi repeat, sheh…

Suraiyya is worried about Sultan, who in turn is with Jhoomar in his old mohalla.

Qalb-e-Momin burns the night thinking about his conversation with Abdul Alaa and how he had gifted him each of the seven paintings. He decides to keep the paintings.

He searches for Master Ibrahim, fails and then finds out that the paintings are delivered to Momina, the news of Alif has been shared with media and the press conference is arranged.

Momina deals with the media much better than Qalb-e-Momin imagined and she inadvertently defends him.

Momina still feels that Sultan may have a role to play in fate of Husn-e-Jahan and Qalb-e-Momin. Now, we will find out the other side of the story.

I have noted it before in one of my earlier posts that Sultan is innocent. He had visited Husn-e-Jahan because she called him, to sell her paintings and make some money to fulfil Qalb-e-Momin’s wishes. Qalb-e-Momin as a young child doesn’t understand anything. All he knows is that Taha is not happy with Sultan. It will cause the drift between Husn-e-Jahan and Taha. That’s what will happen in next episode.

Hamza is so handsome, especially in his messed up and tired look.

That’s my take on Alif’s 17th episode. I think it was slow. Alif’s backlog is over. Up next, Deewar-e-Shab.
