Aqsa and Momina meet in a nice restaurant. One can notice the difference – the kind of small, almost dingy restaurants they went to earlier; and now that she’s an Academy award winner, their surroundings have changed. Nice!
The fangirl asks her, “aap Maimoona Sultan hain na?”
If it was a slip of tongue, the scene should have been reshot. If it was deliberate, shouldn’t she have objected to quoting her name wrong. Just saying!
There is a surprise appearance. Faisal sends her a bouquet and calls her. They talk, Momina reacts coldly to his warm emotions. I wonder why Faisal is so warm now. Isn’t he married? Regretting? Nah! Osman Khalid Butt reminds of Shahzain from Ehd-e-Wafa.
Qalb-e-Momin calls Momina but she doesn’t pick up. The hero is obsessed with Momina and is willing to be seen as a father of a young boy, just so he could act opposite Momina.
Momina is getting ready for the first shot and is shell shocked to see Momina in Husn-e-Jahan’s get up. Rightly so. She’s so beautiful, especially in that outfit. That praise is for Momina and Sajal, both.
You can feel romance in the scene. He isn’t half bad. In fact, Hamza has never looked better.
We finally see the scene that has been there on Facebook for ages. That shot where he wore black and she wore navy blue and they both look gorgeous.
Momina gifts the paintings to master Ibrahim but he insists that she should return them. that scene will rip your heart and create a big lump in your throat. Saifi Hassan’s portrayal of master Ibrahim is spot on. The conversation also makes Momina forgive Qalb-e-Momin.
Qalb-e-Momin’s confession is also heartbreaking: “میرے اندر اتنی ہمت نہیں کہ وہ پینٹنگز واپس نہ لوں۔ کل اثاثہ ہیں میرا۔”
So, what’s her fee? She writes 1/- on a blank cheque. دونوں طرف ہے آگ برابر لگی ہوئی
What an episode it is. The drama is nearing its end. I know the story and yet I want to see it unfold on the screen.
What’s your take?
