PLOT SUMMARY & MY COMMENTARY

Dua’s track

This episode also covers a lot of Dua’s track. Her mother is in wheel chair and both mother and daughter are grief stricken. Raheel is a one tone man who is still after Dua for marriage. When she doesn’t yield, he threatens her with legalities that she could lose her house. Dua is ready to marry him. Really? Didn’t Shahid raise you to be a strong confident woman?

Well, she is confident. the audience is made to believe that she has given up. She has not. When her taya and tayi arrive with sweets etc, she tells the truth about Raheel and asks for their fair share in Shahid’s property. When Saad’s mother calls her to invite for Saad’s PMA graduation party, Dua is seen instructing men who are moving stuff around.

Is it over yet? I hope it is. I don’t like serious property dispute related tracks very much. Also, her taya seemed like a sincere man. Why did he kick two lonely, albeit confident women, out of their house? Greedy folks, argh!

Saad & PMA

PMA is thrilling as usual and Saad expresses his desire to join infantry instead of armoury. I get a feeling that he may die, at least his scene with Gulzar hints on that. But, you can’t kill the hero. Can you?

He has also helped his senior to win the race within stipulated time.

Their training is over. Saad wins the sword and Gulzar gets gold medal. Saad and Faraz have a good man to man talk. Faraz finally says that he’s prouf of Saad. Awnnn! Saad had been waiting for that approval for ages, we could vouch for it. Good job, kiddo!

And that closing parade. How beautiful!

Shahzain Reaches For the Stars – Elections, Really?

Malak Shahzain has bought a horse, which as per Malak Allah Yaar is not Aseel. Shahzain wants to know if there is anyone he can do to impress him.

On the other hand, Rani’s brother is celebrating that one senior politician has died and now he wants to content elections from his seat. It wouldn’t be hard to guess that Malak Shahzain will also want to contest elections to impress Malak Allah Yaar.
Bhai waah!

Chaudhary Waqar and senior Chaudhary are dumbfounded by this announcement. Therefore, they do what they always do – threaten a woman. Chaudhary asks Rani to persuade Shahzain to give up on the election dream. Given how she has manipulated him in past for engagement etc, I am sure she will win him. Or not. We will have to wait and watch.

Parting Thoughts

We don’t see nothing about Shahryar or Sharique. I was hoping this drama would be for four friends. Somehow, it has reduced to two main leads (Saad and Shahzain) and two side ones (Sharique and Shahryar). Not happy with this.
