Plot Summary & Review

Abdullah breaks down, confessing his love for Shanzey.

I didn’t get her name until now, so I have to address her as “his mother”. His mother decides to take his proposal for Shanzey.

Sarwar plays it well. The next morning, he pretends to be sorry, apoligizes to Abdullah. That’s on the surface. Underneath, he is still manipulating Abdullah. Later, he meets Mir and plots for Mansoora’s humiliation. Yes, her name is Mansoora.

Mahjabeen dreams of a romantic sequence between her and Abdullah. That sequence is super cute. The OST gives a different vibe – fun and retro vibe.

Abdullah comes to apologize to Mahjabeen for his rude behavior. They talk friendly, but towards the end, she hurts him a little by calling him stupid, again. Damn girl!

Mahjabeen’s mother-in-law-to-be is greedy and the doctor simply listens to her. It worries Munshi.

The scene at Mir’s house is very painful to watch. It hurts to Khalid Anum play a negative character. He is so adorable. And, same applies to Gul-e-Rana.

Later, they go to his phupho’s house, where his sister finds out that he is beaten by Sarwar again. She’s the brightest character in this story. I hope she has more to offer to plot than just being a “once in a while” appearance.

The episode ends as Sarwar asks Munshi: “Main aap ki beti se shaadi karna chahta hoon.”

Performances

I can’t say this enough. Bilal Abbas is terrific. I would go so far to say that he’s in the big league, people I respect for their performances and not their looks – Mohsin Abbas, Imran Ashraf and the likes. Bilal is not playing Abdullah. He has become Abdullah.

If you don’t believe me, just watch the scene where he breaks down.

I also love the Sneaker’s scene.

I love Munshi’s line. So true.

ماں باپ کو ہلکی پھلکی چھان بین کرنے کے بعد اپنی اولاد کو اللہ کے یقین پر سونپ دینا چاہیے۔

Atiqua Odho is so gorgeous, in every scene, the prettiest of them all.

pks1

Can’t wait for the next episode.
