Alright, let’s begin the review of the latest episode of Sabaat (episode 16). It aired on July 26, 2020.

Hassan is doing the dishes when Atif comes and he cracks jokes for Hassan’s house-making skills.

Anaya is out for interview and is selected because Sir Jehangir, the dude who gave her the gold medal is the head. Bhai waah! He’s not just the boss but also the perfect mentor; not just at work, but also at life.

At breakfast table, Fareed yells at his wife but she has had enough. Don’t you dare threaten me, she says.

The heart of this episode is Haris’s story that we see through flashbacks. Yet again, praises for Usman Mukhtar. Dude’s got a nice voice and a terrific actor. I must mention that kid who played young Haris.

Proposal, courtship and then deciding whether Haris will move in with Meeral Fareed or not, things proceed at lightening speed. But Haris refuses to move in with Fareed, respect!

The government forbids construction – what will all the architects and civil engineers do? What will Anaya and Hassan do?

رزق کے لیے پریشان نہیں ہوتے۔ رزق کا وعدہ اللہ نے کیا ہے۔

Despite the reassurance from Anaya, Hassan is getting depressed about being jobless. I wonder if the mental health will be enforced for him as well.

Anaya and Hassan are one of the best fiction jodis, like right after Jehan Sikandar and Haya Sikandar from Namal by Nemrah Ahmed, Salaar Sikandar and Imama Sikandar from Aab-e-Hayat by Umera Ahmed.

Until next week, stay blessed.

Shabana Mukhtar
