Yeh Dil Mera | Episode 23 | Nearing the end

I was binging on several things about Corona and just couldn’t stop until now.

Let’s review episode 23.

Before you proceed, may I request you to read about the characters and previous episodes’ reviews here. It will help you understand the story better.

Of course, you know it. People are quite crazy about this drama.

PLOT SUMMARY & COMMENTARY

Listening to Ubaid repeatedly addressing Humaira as Jaan was quite jarring.

This episode begins as Aman has a nightmare and reveals terrifying bits about himself to Aina. He wakes up, pleads Aina to stay with him forever and exhaustedly snoozes to sleep.

Ahad Raza Mir shines in his performance, yet again.

Nargis Bua is seen weeping and praying for Aina. Does she know about Aina’s current predicament or is it just the past that scares her?

Flashback to past, Nargis Bua and Nilofer talk. Nilofer is sulking about Farooq’s attention towards Humaira – yesterday and now.

They go to meet Humaira, spot Ali Bakhsh and return without being spotted, and without knowing the crap that’s going inside the house.

But she knows where Farooq has been and she doubts Humaira, because that’s what women do.

Instead of confronting him, she sulks, because that’s what women do.

She opens up to Nargis Bua, blaming things on Humaira, because that’s what women do.

Humaira arrives at their house in the morning and tells her everything that had transpired last night; after some drama and taunts by Nilofer.

I still have the same question – why did she hide it from Ubaid? because he will try to kill Farooq. I don’t know about you, but I don’t but that reason. Also, the misunderstanding between Nilofer and Humaira resolved all too quickly.

Cut to present, Nargis Bua cells Aina (because she just knows that Aina isn’t happy). She doesn’t talk, though.

PARTING THOUGHTS

Mira Sethi looks like a million bucks. I have always loved Zarnish and her performance.

Let’s see what next episode brings in.

That is my commentary on 23rd episode of Yeh Dil Mera. What did you feel about this episode?
