Author Profile

As she puts it –
I am a traditionally published and Indie author that hails from sunny England (I lie, it’s not really that sunny here!) I’m a hopeless romantic, so of course my main writing focus is romance. I love to create swoon-worthy males that steal your breath! I write mature YA, new adult and contemporary romance novels.

As well as being a writer I’m also an avid reader, mum to one little boy, proud chocoholic and an absolute beast at Lego PlayStation games.

If I had to sum myself up in one word, it would probably be ‘daydreamer’ – but unlike most of my school teachers, I don’t necessarily view that as a bad thing. After all, I read somewhere once that books are like waking dreams…

Synopsis

Amber Walker and her older brother, Jake, have an abusive father. One night her brother’s best friend, Liam, sees her crying and climbs through her bedroom window to comfort her. That one action sparks a love/hate relationship that spans over the next eight years. Liam is now a confident, flirty player who has never had a girlfriend before. Amber is still emotionally scarred from the abuse she suffered at the hands of her father. Together they make an unlikely pair. Their relationship has always been a rocky one, but what happens when Amber starts to view her brother’s best friend a little differently? And how will her brother, who has always been a little overprotective, react when he finds out that the pair are growing closer? Find out in The Boy Who Sneaks In My Bedroom Window..

Non Review Rant

After I DNF Always You, I was going through some other reviews on GoodReads. Most of the readers seemed to mention that the book is nothing like ”. I thought perhaps I should give it a chance.

Plot & Review

Well, since I had read ‘Always You’ first, this one seemed to be the same book with different names. The characters and their relations are the same, barring a few additional stuff added to Riley.

I don’t understand how someone sneaks into your house for eight years, every night, and nobody knows.

I cannot understand a girl who was sexually abused by her father, a fact just carelessly thrown in now and there, is so flirty. Liam and Amber are supposed to be afraid of Jake not being okay with their relationship, but they flirt and seduce in front of the whole school. For instance, when she seduces him by sitting on the table right in front of him with legs apart to give him a view, still nobody else can see a thing.

The girls put a bet to nail Liam. I do not understand that world.

Also, a lot of repetition, in terms of content and adjectives and vocabulary used. Everyone talks smirking, winking, flirting, wiggling, rolling eyes, sighing, smiling seductively.

Anyway, not my cup of tea. I would leave it for YA readers who are actually young adults.
