“In Love and in Dreams, everything is illusion yet everything is real.”
They both were so consumed by their pure indulgence in each other’s presence – hearing no sound but the echo of their hearts beating in resonance, seeing no light but the spark in each other’s eyes – that the whole world around them, whoever was the one dreaming of it, started to just disappear like the morning mist after the sunrise until they were distracted by the sound of a coffee cup shattering into pieces against the floor after it slipped from someone’s hand.
Both of them didn’t speak a word for a while. Being upset with each other, they both behaved as if the other one was totally invisible and imperceptible. He stood still like a living statue, seemingly indifferent to the existence of the woman of his dreams; she sat in the chair, calm like a lake about to overflow, containing within all her grievance caused by the man of her dreams.
A story of Love pursued amidst reason and passion, disbelief and hope, delusion and truth.
Non Review Rant
One of those days, when I was reading random threads on Goodreads and someone mentioned this one. The cover draws attention immediately
This book is a short story about two Raghu and Shravya who were once in love. Over a long conversation, we hear both point of views and why their relationship is a bit of a struggle.
This book reminded me of one Reedsy video where Shaelin talks about the usage of using “-ing” words in every sentence.
I would have liked to know more about them but I understand. Short stories have limitations.
It isn’t my cup of tea but it a rather quick read with a strong romance theme.
Until then, lots of love!
