Hum Tum Episode 27 Written Update & Review

This review is 16 hours too late but I didn’t get a moment it piece until now. Travelling is always hard on me, even if it is an hour long flight. Boy, waiting at the airport for boarding is the slowest time of life.

Anywho…

Adam’s jealousy is at its peak

So, Qutbuddin forgets his phone on the table so Adam sends a text to Neha who is going out for lunch with wall clock Sarim. He’s doing this to keep Sarim away from Neha, but how does that matter?

Sasha and Mili have taken short leave from their school to go for a karate tournament and now both families are worried for them. Not so surprisingly, the conflict resolves within five minutes.

Hello, hello, Sarim check?

Omer and Adam go to meet a friend of Sarim who is all praises for Sarim. This doesn’t go well with Adam. The question is will he give a false report to Qutbuddin to kick Sarim out of his way or will he be the hero that he is and do the right thing? I guess he would do the right thing.

And he does.

The BIG confession

Mujhe tumse mohabbat hai

Deewanagi ki haddh tak

Deewana mujhe banaao na

Deewanagi ki haddh tak

Adam tells Neha how he feels about her. Neha is super harsh to him when she says she has no time for love. Ahad is his vulnerable best, and Ramsha is her dabang best in that scene.

The aftermath

A heartbroken Adam takes off, spends a few hours of the night at a park. If Sasha and Mili’s little fun wasn’t enough, this gets Sultan family worried all over again. This isn’t what I expect of Adam. He should have handled this rejection better.

Long story short, he comes home. Sarmad scolds him and rightly so. He even asks if Adam is in love, ahem ahem. The little conversation between Maha and Adam was good, partly because both acted so well. I felt like they were really dewar bhabhi talking.

“Main janti hoon, Neha kabhi kabhi bahot harsh ho jati hai,” Maya tells Adam.

“Main janti hoon” had dual connotations here. For one, she knows about Adam’s feelings got Neha, and she knew how Neha feels about Adam, and she knows what she said, that Neha is rude.

Review

First of all, let me put it out there that I don’t like Neha. If she’s a practical no nonsense girl who doesn’t have time to love, she could have been nicer when she talked to Adam. I have never liked Neha since the beginning. I understand her pain for having to hear a constant reminder of being a girl, but that doesn’t mean you turn out to be an evil person who would go to all lengths to harm the person who has done nothing.

As for the rest of the episode, “Gadi labbe na labbe speed ek sau nabbe”, this eoisde was an example of that. Things happened like zoop-zoop-zoop. Adam confessed his feelings, Neha ponder over his confession. To be honest (just an expression, not Tabish Hashmi’s show), I didn’t really understand the last scene. Adam and Neha shook hands on being friendly nemesis, but does that also mean Neha is okay about Adam being the “xyz” against Sarim for her candidacy? It wasn’t very clear, or perhaps my sleep-muddled brain couldn’t process it well.

The romance is here. It isn’t where we hope it to be but when it starts it will be good, I have a feeling. We have only three days to finish off this romance with a big bang. So this better be good and it better escalate quickly. I would still say this happened too late. Slow burn romances are more satisfactory, pun unintended.
