Meray Humnasheen

Meray Humnasheen is a mesmerizing narrative encapsulating the struggle between aspiring dreams, hopes and greed for power.

Khajista is a smart, intelligent girl who belongs to a conservative and traditional family that hails from mountainous areas. Her passion to become a doctor stems from her childhood trauma when she lost her mother early on in life. To revolutionize healthcare services, Khajista is filled with hopes and dreams. On the other hand, Khajista’s cousin Darakhzai is a hot-headed and arrogant man whose backward thinking makes him insecure about Khajista’s higher studies and wishes to keep her under his control.

Coming from an educated and well-off family, Hadi is in his final year of medical school and his composed demeanour makes him highly likeable amongst his batch mates. Studying in the same college, Khajista and Hadi’s first encounter leaves them with mixed feelings for each other.

In a dream of becoming a doctor, will Khajista be able to overcome all the challenges? With constant pressure from her family particularly Darakhzai, will Khajista be able to fulfil her dreams or will she remain caught in the dilemma of love and dreams?

Meray Humnasheen Episode 02 Written Update and Review

Okay, so this episode clarifies a couple of things for us.

Sibling Rivalry

In the Drs Residence, Hassan continues to be the brat that he is, even threatens Arshad the servant of bad consequences of what he did earlier (informing Haadi that Hassan is out on a motor bike). Dr Sabika is worried about her son (I think Haadi is Dr Shahryar’s son and Hassan is Dr Sabika’s son. I’m not sure yet).

Dr Shahryar and Dr Sabika also finalize Haadi’s engagement with Ayela. I’m not sure if Haadi was onboard or not, whether he likes Ayela or not… It was quite vague. This track isn’t interesting enough so far.

Darakhzai isn’t as bad as we thought he was

Darakhzai isn’t as bad as we thought he was. When a young kid comes to borrow wood, he not only buys him a pair of shoes but also carries a bundle of wood to the boy’s home. Bande ke dil mein rehm hai.

That little boy was Sanobar’s younger brother, and it was all her ploy to meet Darakhzai *rolling eyes*

Amroz Khan knows how to deal with situations

This episode also tells us that Amroz Khan has only allowed Khajista to appear for the medical entrance exam because he is certain that Khajista would fail the exams. Bhai waah! Bro is smart. Amroz Khan knows how to deal with situations. Instead of saying outright “no”, he has given Khajista hope. And then he is against hope hopen.

Sister-in-law Rivalry: Shanzay hates Khajista

Shanzay has something against Khajista. She constantly implies that Khajista knows how to woo men. What’s the basis of this allegation, we don’t know yet. But this sets up for a spicy nand-bhawaj drama.

Cousin Rivalry

There is sibling rivalry, there is nand-bhawaj rivalry, and then there is cousin rivalry. This drama has it all, doesn’t it?

Darakhzai has another run in with Behram Khan. A verbal spat leads to manhandling and finally Behram Khan comes to talk to Daar ji with a complaint.

Apne ladke ko samjhayen uncle, bahot tang karta hai.

Well, not in as many words, but that is the gist of it. It seemed kinda childish to me. Behram is related to Shanzay (they are cousins), so I guess we will be seeing more of him.

This episode wasn’t as interesting as the first one. It was quite underwhelming, really.

So long!
