Aik Sitam Aur Episode 1 Written Update & Review

After so much of family drama, the couple is married, finally. And now some romance awaits us. They fight, they breakup, they fight again, they make up… Ushna and Shehroz are enjoying their “honeymoon” period without being on the honeymoon.

On the other hand, things aren’t going well with Sufiyan’s family, especially Rafaqat. While Sufiyan is still on the run, Shujaat, Mehnaz and Huzaifa are going to all lengths to set up a new home and a new business. Son on the run, brother setting up a new business, nephew talking back… This is all too much to handle. The episode ends as Rafaqat gets a chest pain and holds his left arm. O-oh. We all know what it means. A heart attack. Tch… I like this drama and all, but it relied on cliches more often than I like.

Review

This episode was one of the best episodes ever. This is where the romance is at its peak and we see the newly married couple slowly understanding each other and developing feelings for one another. I have earmarked this episode for future viewing. It was simply fantastic. All credit to the writer, the director and fine nuanced acting by Usama and Ushna. I should also note the scene between Shehroz and Naeema where the mother tells Shehroz he loves his wife. Shehroz’s shy, confused smile and Nayeema’s knowing, content smile made this scene worth a repeat watch.

The only problem is, this felt a bit rushed. I mean, they got married and they are already falling for each other. I can say for Shehroz that some of these feelings have been there for a while. Ushna’s sudden change surprises me.
