Drama Review | Aye Musht-e-Khak | Episode 17

Alrighty, let’s review the latest episode of Aye Musht-e-Khak. Oh, before that, real quick, check the cast and characters of Aye Musht-e-Khak.

A little recap of episode 16

Dayaan gets into a car accident.

Aye Musht-e-Khak episode 17 written review and update

Dayaan is still hospitalized, and things aren’t looking good for him. The three families-Dua’s, Dua’s in-laws, and Dayaan’s in-laws are at the hospital.
Dua meets Imam Sahib to discuss her confusion. It is inevitable to have negative thoughts when life turns upside down, when you are put through a turmoil, when your loved one is hospitalized; and Dua is no different. That whole scene is much needed for Dua as well as the viewers. We should learn to be patient and content in whatever comes our way. We should start crying on every small issue that happens in life.
Dua goes to the hospital but Bobby comes to look for her in the masjid. And then he starts to throw insults at Imam Sahib. Imam Sahib is unperturbed, but then suddenly Dua comes back to get her phone. Taqi is also with her. Will this make Bobby jealous of Taqi? Of course.
Taqi is a nice person, so he meddles in to calm the situation but I’m so so disappointed in him.
“Mere dil ki adalat ne aapke khilaf gawahi de di hai,” Dua says.
She conditions the divorce on Dayaan’s life.
And guess what…
Dayaan wins the battle of life and death.

Review

I know I bicker a lot about just how crazy this drama is but I also believe in giving credit when credit is due. In this episode, Imam Sahib talks about Hazrat Yousuf A.S. I like how Surah Yousuf’s tafseer is incorporated in this episode. It felt like Mufti Tariq Masood’s bayan on virtues of patience.
This drama has very nicely written dialogues. It looks like all the efforts are put in writing the dialogues and none on writing the subplot.

Sana Javed looks so pretty, so pretty, and she has acted well for a grieving sister. Sana’s wardrobe is to die for, and her acting is praiseworthy. With each passing episode, I’m becoming a fan.
