Review

The story of this telefilm is tiny, the execution is elaborated with a series of incidents that are supposed to be funny.

Dilnaz (Bushra Ansari) is a widow who runs the household by driving auto-rickshaw. His late husband was a big fan of Shafqat Cheema and therefore the twins (the Farooqui brothers) were named after him, borrowing half name of the legendary villain. The duo do nothing, except household chores occasionally, and a LOT of overacting.

Fida (Ashraf Khan) is a journalist. He is also widowed and lives in a rented house with his daughter Nageena (Nimrah Khan). Nageena is carrying her mother’s gold sets to a jeweler, so they can buy their own house. A guy steals the bag from her. Do you want to know how?

Thief: Woh dekho chidiya.

Nageena looks away, thief runs away.

Wow!

The thief runs into Dilnaz and leaves the bag in her auto. The two families run into each other and fall for each other – Fida for Dilnaz and the twins for Nageena.

What did not work

The twins overacted. I guess the characters demanded it, but still.

And Nageena only screamed. SCREAMED. SCREAMEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. Get it?

Also, Nageena’s acting seemed a bit out of character. I mean, I am more than happy for a strong female character, irrespective of her financial background. But they way she handles with the twins was just… difficult to fathom.

I like subtle comedies. I don’t mind in-your-face-humour, either. But if the complete movie / telefilm is just that, it gets a bit annoying.

Verdict:

You won’t miss anything if you don’t watch it, except some scenes with Bushra Ansari’s nuances and expressions.

If you still want to watch it, then this is the link.
