So, the teasers for upcoming Hum TV drama Badshah Begum are out, and it’s hard to ignore the waves that it has created.
Here are my reasons that I’m excited to watch this drama.
1. The impressive cast
Not gonna lie, The cast enticed me, even if I have mixed feelings about the cast. Some are fav (Farhan, Komal, Zara, Abul Hasan), some are in the neutral zone (Saman Ansari, Shahzad Alam, Ali Rehman Khan), some I sorta avoid (Yasir Hussain) and some are new faces. You can check out the cast and characters here.
2. They have worked hard
Looking at how each character is revealed, and the sketches of each character, I get a sense of just how much effort has gone into making this. I loved Komal’s poster. Oh, come on, it’s hard to pick a favourite, but Komal’s poster with red and black backdrop is just perfection
3. The hype
Yep, the hype can really get to you. It’s like everyone I talk to, is talking about Badshah Begum and Jo Bachey Hain Samait Lo. Badshah Begum is very much a reality now that the teasers are out now.
4. The Theme
The show has a fantasy-slash-real power game vibe, which is rare in Pakistani dramas. I am not a big fan, but a girl can always try, right? The teasers looks very interesting and I bet it will be too dramatic for me at times. I will keep my expectations low. That always helps.
5. Empty Slot
If the Instragram is to be believed, Badshah Begum is starting on March 1, 2022. After Parizaad’s finale, the three dramas i watch on Tuesday are: Amanat, Ibn e Hawwa and Aye Musht-e-Khak. None of these dramas are holding my interest. I could do with another episode of something that is interesting.
Looking forward to the first episode. What do others feel about the teasers of Badshah Begum?
