Hum Tum Episode 5 Written Update & Review

So, the birthday party is concluded with both families flinging thinly veiled insults at each other.

The birthday present is dabbe mein dabba and finally one spoon, symbolic of Adam’s chamchagiri. Now, both families are whining. Qutbuddin begins a long scolding and humiliating session, ending it with a warning to Neha to apologize to Adam.

Yeah, as if.

Qutbuddin is right to scold the girls but why does he bring up their gender every time?

On the other hand, Sultan has sold Adam’s bike for his new business idea. This disturbs the whole family, but Sultan is still unperturbed. Usko bas khane se matlab hai.

Two things stood out in this episode. The first one is obviously Saifi Hassan’s little appearance as Qutbuddin’s nemesis at the college. In both Paristan and Hum Tum, he comes as a surprise package, and I can’t explain just how happy I’m to see him. The second thing which I loved, loved, loved was Qutbuddin’s comment about Neha.

Tum sirf rattu ho, zaheen nahin.

This episode had a product placement: Vision 3 phone. I have always ranted about how I feel about product placements. I won’t repeat it again. Itna obvious bhi na ho product placement, nahin?

This Mili girl is so pretty. I would like to see her more.
