Paristan Episode 19 Written Update & Review
Azar’s interview with Ishaque
After loads of preparations and a little bit of comedy, Azar finally comes to meet Ishaque bhai for the interview. And what a disaster it was. Ishaque throws one googly after the other, leaving Azar perplexed, befuddled, even exasperated. He keeps staring Pari and co hoping they would help. They couldn’t, not even once. That scene must have been designed for laughs, but it annoyed me more than making me laugh. What can I say? I am a tough nut to crack, an old soul to please.
First of all, it was Pari’s stupid idea to hid behind the sofa on Azar’s left. That wasn’t very smart. The whole plan to help Azar during the interview was kinda sorta dumb.
Ishaque does give the green signal. The celebration was quite hilarious.

Kamali’s love story has another speed bump
Rakhshanda’s father Rab Nawaz has a long list of conditions. Kamali’s mother isn’t happy about it. As expected, Kamali is devastated. But it doesn’t last long as our heroine promises to help him out, as usual.

Ujala and Babar’s love story
This love story doesn’t get the attention they deserve. For once, they sat together and tried to talk, only to be constantly interrupted by Pari. I so hated it. Ujala is concerned about Babar, and the time and effort he has to put into his job. I would have wanted to see them talk more, but Pari… uff…
Review
Asad Siddiqui has always been a favourite, and in this episode he was so so natural and funny during the interview scene. Also, Naveen Waqar’s expression at 25.05 was so so good. I liked Azar and Mehreen’s cute banter after the proposal was final.
Pernia is a borderline annoying character. At times, she seems cute. Other times, I feel like someone should just put a tape on her mouth. Similarly, I have mixed feelings for Aymen’s performance. She is pretty, some would say, and her styling is always on point. She is trying hard in this drama to act well, I must admit. But her voice and the limited range of expressions always comes in the way. But that’s just me. I’m sure people like her.
Arsalan Naseer was once my obsession when I had discovered his YouTube channel. He has now become my new favourite. Kinna sohna tujhe, rab ne banaya…
