The seventh episode is live. This episode primarily shows Momin walking down the memory lanes of his childhood and his time with his grandfather Abdul Alaa.

Plot Summary
Neha’s Outrage Against Qalb-e-Momin
We see Akhtar, who is now fired, talking to Neha. Instead of helping him, she puts her personal vendetta about everything else and instigates him to sue Qalb-e-Momin for not honouring the contract. I don’t recall this scene from the book.
نیہا: آپ اتنے بڑے رائٹر ہیں۔ آپ کو کام کی کمی ہے؟ اتنے بڑے بڑے ڈائیلاگ لکھتے ہیں۔ اپنے حق کے لیے آواز نہیں اٹھا سکتے؟
اختر: وہ تو ڈائیلاگز ہوتے ہیں۔ اپنے حق کے لیے آواز اٹھانے پر بڑی مصیبت پر جاتی ہے۔
Neha promises to support him, hire a lawyer for him to file a case against Qalb-e-Momin.
Qalb-e-Momin and Abdul Alaa
Qalb-e-Momin is not all bad as he has come to apologize to Abdul Alaa realizing his mistakes. There are too many flashbacks as he reminisces his time with Abdul Alaa.
The next scene shows the adult Qalb-e-Momin in Turkey, waiting outside his grandfather’s house. (We see Abdul Alaa saying goodbye to young Qalb-e-Momin and Husn-e-Jahan.)
He stands outside his grandfather’s house. (Qalb-e-Momin is upset that Husn-e-Jahan has sent him akone. Abdul Alaa tells him that Husn-e-Jahan loves him a lot and is a good woman.)
He wanders through a big room with beautiful calligraphies. (You’re a calligrapher just like me and my father, young Qalb-e-Momin says. And, Abdul Alaa promises him to prepare him to carry their legacy of calligraphy.)
His childhood calligraphies are on a separate wall.
They have a heart to heart conversation and Abdul Alaa reminisces about Taha.
So far we haven’t seen Taha on screen. But, in this one we see him for the first time even though it was a flashback.
Momin insists on finding out what Abdul Alaa forbade Taha from doing. Abdul Alaa tries to explain how Taha became a whirling dervish. Abdul Alaa dodges the question but tells him the truth.
تمہاری ماں سے شادی کی سے روکا تھا۔
As Abdul Alaa is painting the next morning, we hear a qirat of Surat Noor in the background. I am guessing Sami Yusuf. A nice touch.
Qalb-e-Momin sees a video from Neha where she confesses to liking a different director. It bothers Momin, as he seems to have genuinely liked her.
دادا کیسے اپنی مرضی سے سو جاتے ہیں اور اپنی مرضی سے جاگ جاتے ہیں۔ میرا نیند پر اختیار کیوں نہیں ہے
I have the same question. And I think my problem is same.
My Alif is not straight.
Qalb-e-Momin talks to Neha and Neha is ready with retorts that sends him off cliff. He says:
I don’t have peace in life.
Abdul Alaa wants to tell him the reasons of lack of peace in his life but Qalb-e-Momin shuts him off, disturbing him again.
Momina’s track
So, Momina comes back to see Faisal. Ha!
فیصل: میں سمجھ رہا تھا کہ وہ ٹھیک ہو جائے گا۔
مومنہ: ہم بھی یہی سمجھ رہے تھے۔
The words are simple, but the pain behind those words is visible on her face.
Suraiyya lies to Faisal that Momina will leave acting now, as Jehangir has died. Momina needs to continue the acting to clear her debts… Suraiyya wants Faisal and Momina to get back together but Momina is reluctant. She has given up on her love and dream.
Faisal and Momina’s past, his proposal and her mother humiliating Momina is just narrated in a passing instead of showing us a flashback.
Osman Khalid Butt is so good looking.
Next, we see Momina saying goodbyes to her family. However, just as she’s leaving, she hallucinates and sees Jehangir wishing her well.
Another thing different from the story is Momina’s first shoot. She is running on a train track and her foot gets hurt.
We see there is a problem with the crew and we know will be outcome right? She will get the main leads part.
Review
There are some scenes that are not part of the story. Let’s see if the story line changes significantly, like Momin marrying Momina as the end 🙂
