Drama Review | Dil-e-Momin | Episode 2

There was Qalb-e-Momin, and then there is Dil-e-Momin. GEO has a thing for all things Momin, shall we say?

Just kidding… I like some lame jokes once in a while.

So, let’s get to the second episode of DEM

Dil-e-Momin Episode 2 Written Update & Review

Okay, so Maya Ihsaan is in love with Momin. Love at first sight… You know, this is one of most frowned-upon romance tropes. I’m surprised that this trope is still in the making. I may have written an insta-attraction story – Two Singles Together, but Rahul and Simran did not fall in love. They just like each other enough to take their story further. Lovely story, you must check it out.

Maya is planning a welcome party for Momin. Momin, being the sweet and naive person, accepts the invitation. But then, two thing happen. One, Momin’s colleague tells him that welcome parties aren’t a norm as Maya suggested it was. Second, our obsessive lover boy Gohar learns about the party and decides to threaten Momin. Because it’s a reasonable thing to do, right? Threatening your professor in front of students. Good call, Gohar.

Gauhar Rasheed as Gohar was nice and sweet in the first episode, but is back to being Daniyal from Laapata and many such obsessive lover roles he has played in the past. Why does he choose such roles? He is so talented.

Jo chahne ke layeq hote hain, un se ek lamhe mein mohabbat ho jati hai.

Gohar goes on to threaten Momin. Faisal has acted so well,. oh-so-handsome and oh-so-talented. Momin doesn’t go to the party, though.

I love the details about Momin’s character. He is a professor. His attire, his sling bag, the lunchbox that he carries, everything is on-point.

Shabeer Jan is superb as chidchide uncle. I know so many uncles like him. Relatable AF.

I would watch the other two episodes tonight. Tomorrow, I will be ready for episode 5 of DEM. Oh, DEM could also be an abbreviation for Dil-e-Muztar, another drama I’m yet to review. Boy, my to-review list is looooong.
