Drama Review | Ishq-e-Laa | Hum TV | Episode 2

A little recap from episode 1

We see all the characters. The first episode ends as Azlan finds a strand of hair in his food. Yuck!

Ishq-e-Laa episode 2 written review and update

Azlan humiliates Azka for that strand of hair in the lentil soup, or was it curry? He takes off to eat outside. Azka is heartbroken. The way she cries reminds me of Fajar from Akhir Kab Tak.

Azlan is a short tempered, spoilt brat who hates poor people and poverty. He’s is an elitist. Shanaya, on the other hand, has her feet on the ground. She knows the difference between reality and idealism. But it’s hard to see why she puts up with Azlan’s tantrums.

This episode revolves around that little incident in the kitchen. It wasn’t Azka’s hair. It was Salma’s, the other house help, but Azlan thinks poorly of Azka now.

Shanaya lands herself in trouble, almost. She’s interviewing a girl who got married at fifteen and has had four kids in five years. Yep, 4 kids in 5 years, and she’s only 20. Yikes! The mother-in-law and the neighbours aren’t too happy. Shanaya has a knack for danger. I’m sure she’ll land herself in some big trouble.

Azlan doesn’t see Shanaya as anything more than a good friend. Shanaya, on the other hand, may have feelings for him. Is that why he puts up with Azlan’s tantrums. Their parents think that they will and should tie the knot soon.

Review

This episode shows immense details about the three leads. Azka is laadon mein pali and can’t take any insults. Shanaya is fearless and grounded and has full faith in Allah. We know that because she says as much. And then there is Azlan who thinks that he owns the world.  I hope Azlan learns the lesson sooner rather than later. I would love to see this characters transform.

So long!

I found your blog while looking for reviews on Parizaad since I have some stuff that bothers me about that drama as well. And then I got carried away! As for this drama, I also don’t get how a strong and mature woman would put up with a brat. I am excited to read more of your reviews and updates! =)
