Drama Review | Sinf e Aahan | Episode 9

A little recap of episode 8 of Sinf-e-Aahan

The training has started, and we are already seeing the cadets struggling with strenuous routine.

Sinf-e-Aahan episode 9 written update and review

So the girls are ready for a mile long run, each of them remembering their practice session. This felt like a drag because we have seen this already in the previous episode.

And then the race begins. That was fun. And then staff scolds them. That whole scene was very well done.

Then we see them wearing the uniform for the first time, followed by an inspection by Major Sania. She finds fault in almost everyone except Shaista who is shocked herself. They attend a lecture, and then finally when they get home they are too tired. But the day isn’t over yet. Major Sania goes on a round and puts them on various tasks. The instant safai that Mahjabeen and Periwesh do will tickle you. Raise hands, who has done this kind of safai? I know I have.

This episode is full of hilarious moments and fantastic performances. Yumna Zaidi as Shaista gives such unique expressions that you can’t stop a grin breaking on your face. We also see that a bond of friendship is forming between the roommates. The process is gradual, because that is how things happen in real life.

I also liked that Osama is teaching his daughter a different version of a story, of being independent and strong. I think this is foreshadowing. In the first party that they attended, someone had offered Mrs Osama a job at the school. In this, she isn’t happy when Osama said that marriage isn’t the “be all and end all” of life. Would this force her to take a job? We will know soon.

What do others feel about this episode?
