Let’s review the 14th episode of Mere Paas Tum Ho. The story progresses as Mehwish is upset and adamant to take Rumi home. Neither Danish nor Shahwar want that. But Mehwish is drunk on power and is willing to take the legal route. Let’s begin, but wait. First, read the review of previous episodes.
Zameer (or Jabeen it was not clear) the real estate broker comes to meet Danish but he asks for a couple of day’s time before he sells the house, still mourning Mateen’s death.
The next scene shows Mehwish asking for Shahwar’s permission to bring Rumi for a day. He allows her, if Rumi wouldn’t stare at him.
Why would he do that? Mehwish asks.
کیونکہ بچے سوتیلے باپ کی طرف گھور گھور کر دیتے ہیں۔
But, you haven’t married. Burn!
Danish and Mateen’s cellphones are swapped leading to much confusion for Danish and Haniya and, irritation for Mehwish. She decides to meet Danish in person. But he has left to return Mateen’s phone to Haniya. She looks apprehensive about seeing Danish after all this time.
The Watchman tells her that she has been posted to a different city and Rumi is with her. Yep, that’s the story Danish has told the neighbours and watchman.
An agitated Mehwish calls her only saviour to ask for instructions. Shahwar threatens to file a case against Danish for Rumi’s custody.
Shahwar’s attitude has rubbed off on Mehwish as she is adamant on taking Rumi with her for the weekend. Danish tries to reason but she doesn’t listen.
Danish meets lawyer regarding custody. As Rumi is only six years old and Danish earns only
The lawyer explains him, logically, that Danish may lose the case. He doesn’t have the money, court cases are ugly and Rumi is impressionable.
Shahwar’s company Shahwar Chemicals share price falls 2.25 rupees. Does Danish has anything to do with it?
Shahwar gives the exact same reasons to Mehwish that
1. He doesn’t want her to NOT be with him in the night.
2. He doesn’t want to waste money in courts.
محبوبہ رہو گی تو اچھی لگو گی۔ ماں بنو گی تو لگے گا کہ ایک ہی دن میں پچاس کی ہو گئی ہو۔
Mehwish meets the principal and Haniya. The principal says that she needs a permission letter from her before she could send Rumi with Mehwish.
I need a permission letter or an order from the court.
Why would you give her ideas?
I like the subtlety with which Danish agreed to have tea with Haniya. They share a bond – both loved Mateen Sahab.
