Plot Summary
Qalb-e-Momin’s Track
Momin goes through his letterbox that Abdul Alaa has sent from Turkey. It helps him reminisce his childhood and his bond with Allah.
He gets up and readies to go to Turkey. Abdul Alaa’s words ring in his head yet another time as he admires Abdul Alaa’s calligraphy.
Tina and Daud meet Akhtar. Akhtar is bitter yet happy to work with Qalb-e-Momin again.
Daud arrives to meet Qalb-e-Momin and Shakoor tells him that Qalb-e-Momin has left for Turkey. Daud and Tina discuss Qalb-e-Momin’s unstable behaviour and worry that their careers are also at stake.
Momina’s Track
Momina’s news plays on television. Suraiyya and Sultan start discussing Momina’s future with Faisal.
We see Momina in her room doing calligraphy as she remembers her childhood with Husn-e-Jahan. She thinks of herself as Husn-e-Jahan and talks about urooj and zawaal.
She calls Sultan and Sultan gets upset.
With that, the story takes us back to th prime time of Husn-e-Jahan.
Husn-e-Jahan’s track
We see Husn-e-Jahan perform on stage.
The next scene shows a painting of hers delivered to Husn-e-Jahan.
Husn-e-Jahan goes to see his performance as whirling dervish. She starts to mimick him and falls down, unconscious.
In her next performance, she remembers him and forgets to dance.
They meet and we can see that they are falling for each other. Husn-e-Jahan also has a lot of unanswered questions.
Sultan is heartbroken to see Husn-e-Jahan’s affection and admiration for Taha.
Her spiritual journey is just beginning as she asks Taha to reach her to dance like him.
Taha tells her about his family. Husn-e-Jahan wants to meet Abdul Alaa and she wants to cover herself with a chador. In these few days, she has realized that her beauty is not for the world to see.
Review
Hamza nails his role as Qalb-e-Momin. Especially, when he watches the calligraphy paintings.
Yet again, it is Sultan Mairaj’s portrayal of Sultan that impressed me the most. He’s the only one who was left empty handed in a heartbreaking love story.
I love that young Momina also has the same hairstyle as her elder self.
Often times, in a hurry to post about all the dramas, I keep it short and simple. I have noticed that I am not talking much about how well the dialogues are written and expressed. There is no mention of the beautiful conversation between Abdul Alaa and Qalb-e-Momin.
There is a reason. While many viewers are experiencing it for the first time, I have lived this experience once when I read the novel. It still touches my heart but not to the extent that I include it in my review. From next episode onwards, I will try to pretend that everything is new and surprising.
