Book Review: MAUT KI AANDHI (Jasoosi Duniya #12 By Ibn-e-Safi)

Plot Summary

The geographical fantasy continues as this story takes us to the mystery land of Egypt.

It begins in a hotel, as is the norm with most of Ibn-e-Safi’s novels. A young Egyptian dancer runs out on the street in semi naked state, claiming someone stole her handkerchief. The thief is also killed on the streets and Inspector Jagdish arrives at the location to investigate. While the investigation is still on, the dancer is also killed. The police is still in the hotel, at a few feet away.

This is crazy so inspector Jagdish does what he does best – calls Faridi.

The story jumps ahead, introducing more characters as Faridi and Hameed try to figure out this complicated mess.

And, then we are taken to Egypt. The adventure is bone-chilling and Faridi’s genius is at its peak.

That concludes the review for Maut Ki Aandhi. In my not-so-humble opinion, this is one of the most memorable stories that Ibn-e-Safi has penned. Or, maybe it is just me, a self-confessed fan.
