Inspector Asif makes his first appearance in Heeray Ki Kaan, with Anwar and Rasheeda. In this, he is only shown as a very senior official in Central Intelligence Bureau. He is lazy, and stupid, if I might add and unable to produce results. There is no mention that he works in the same department as Faridi.

In later stories, he is shown as extremely obnoxious. He is jealous of Faridi because of his success and reputation at such young age. Faridi, our hero, respects him as a senior.
