Drama Review | Ishq-e-Laa | Hum TV | Episode 3

Alright, time to review the third episode of Ishq-e-Laa that aired on November 4, 2021.

But this episode changed my opinion.

So, Azka has broken the perfume’s bottle. She doesn’t tell anyone, but the truth comes out any way. I think Azlan is a brat and a bit too rude but he was right. Azka is incompetent and dishonest. Why did she hide that she broke something? I would have fired or warned if someone did that to me, but I don’t believe in hiring help for household work.

But Azlan is way out of lining for yelling at Azka for a fair point. Just because he has money doesn’t give him the right to side with the wrong. Even Azlan’s mother doesn’t understand that Azka isn’t at a mistake now. Superb, superb acting by Yumna. In that scene, she was right. In that scene, she stood for herself. In that scene, she was a supergirl. Loved her.

Azlan’s mother is worried that Azka shouldn’t curse Azlan. I mean… She does feel bad for Azka but she is more concerned about Azlan. Twisted but that is the reality, isn’t it?

Shanaya is now working on a serious case and the mob has attacked her office. The episode ends on a scary note. Of course, nothing will happen to her; it’s been only three episodes of this drama.

Lately all the dramas I watch, I don’t relate with the leads.

Yumna, a terrific actor but she’s playing a very whiny character Azka. Sajal Ali is a superb perfomer but she’s playing Shanaya who is an immature as a professional (we saw that in the last episode) and a flawed individual (I don’t get why she tolerates a brat like Azlan). Azlan is debuting with a character that one might hate. I don’t understand or relate with these characters, and I don’t enjoy this drama, yet.

But this episode changed my opinion.

In this episode, we see Shanaya as a person who’s insanely in love with (a little insane) person. Her conversation with Azka touched my heart.

Allah ki zameen par khuda banne ka haq kisi ko bhi nahin hai.

Also, the little conversation between Azlan and Shanaya about namaz being farz was simply awesome. I loved how it was woven into the plot. Shanaya’s conviction about all things spiritual is infectious.

And Sajal looks so pretty.

This episode also shows that Shanaya isn’t the only one in love. Azlan likes her just as much, but he isn’t as open about his feelings.

In short, a lot to look forward to in this drama.

Can’t wait for the next episode. I don’t know if I would be able to review it on time cuz I got some plans. But let’s see.

Until next post, stay safe and remember all in your prayers.
