Saima Akram Chaudhry and Danish Nawaz–the writer and director duo who gave us gems like Chupke Chupke (I quite liked it) and Hum Tum (it was hit-n-miss). This duo now brings us another romantic comedy Kaala Doriya.

Kaala Doriya is story of two families who despise each other. The guy and the girl, especially can’t tolerate each other. When they fall in love, all hell breaks loose. Shuja talks to Mahnoor, reminding her to not be like Nida. This upsets Mahnoor so much that she skips college the next day. When Asfi learns about Mahnoor’s sickness

Amma ji is sending one of her plots so Asfi gets a chance to go to Mahnoor’s house to get Amma’s signatures. He learns about Mahnoor’s proposal. When these two lovebirds are talking to each other on phone, Nida and Tanno listen to this conversation.

Nida flips out and threatens to confront Mahnoor. Before she goes, she drops the bomb on Muneer and Saleeqa as well.

Aur phir jo Tanno and Nida ki tu tu main main huyi hai… Mazaa aa gaya…

There is a lot of drama but Mahnoor obeys her father over her love. Finally, Mahnoor calls and tells Asfi that she would not pursue her love because she wants to stand with her father.

The episode ends as Abba Miyan finally tells that Shuja was always wrong even in Muneer’s case. 

All said and done, the saas bahu relationship between Saleeqa and Nida is just awesome. But, the best scene is Asfi breaking down like a young boy who lost his favourite thing in the world. I was in a good mood and then I bawled like a fool

Someone suggest me a good escapist romance to bring me out of this dull phase.
