Mein Episode 7 Written Review

Assalamualaikum dear followers,

It’s Shabana Mukhtar back with the recap and review of the latest episode of Mein.

 Opinionated Asif

Asif: Kutta paltey huye bhi nasl dekhi jati hai. Mohabbat ka kya hai. Aani jaani chiz hai. Phir ho jayegi.

Later, Zaid recalls how Asif’s past has some dark secrets. I would like to know more about those secrets.

Asiya is upset, so Ayera and Amir eat dinner together. Ayera tells Amir about Zaid, who belonged to AJ Group. You can see the pain on Amir’s face.

Amir isn’t thirlled to hear this, obviously.

The next morning, Ayera also mends her ways with Asiya.

Mubashshara and Jaafar invite Umair. Jaafar not-so-subtely slips it that Umair should marry Mubashshara. Umair refuses flatly.

Mubashshara loses her temper as usual, asks Umair to leave, stat. She has another depression attack.

Another Proposal

Jaafar asks Asif for Mubashshara and Zaid’s wedding. This is perfect, because there is no way Asif would let Zaid marry Ayera. This proposal is perfect.

The father-son duo has an argument, a cold war, if you will.

Devious Father

On surface, Asif agrees to meet Ayera’s family. But, he also sends Zaid to Lahore office. Now, Asif has to think of something else, something evil. Would he do something to Amir? He knows where Amir works. I have a bad feeling.

Just like Asif, Kashmala also doesn’t approve os Ayera. Also, Zaid admits that he doesn’t love Ayera, but he has a good understanding with her. Abey? Abhi Abba se toh bola na ki “I love Ayera”.

Asif’s Predictable Move

Asif orders Amir to his office.

He humiliates him, threatens him, he bribes him.

You will get double promotion, double salary, new house, a new car if…

The episode ends but we know what his deal will be.

Say no to the proposal.

Review

I like the drama, even wait for it, but then… A few things seem unnecessary. Like Zaid’s compliment to Asif…

or them standing on the yacht…

I usually don’t mind the fluff, but this one bothered me. I guess the writers are trying to show us their lifestyle and their bond.

Until next time, fellow drama addicts! Stay tuned for more twists, turns, and reviews that’ll leave you craving for the next episode like a kid at a candy store.
