Introduction

HUM TV’s drama serial Mere Ban Jao is a story of love, trust, deceit and repercussions. Featuring the versatile Zahid Ahmed, Kinza Hashmi and Azfar Rehman in lead roles, the serial conveys a very important message related to the use of social media, repercussions of blind trust and sharing of personal and intimate moments online without realizing the disaster it can cause and the impact it can have on one’s life. Produced under the banners of Moomal Entertainment and MD Productions, the serial is written by Samira Fazal and directed by Ahmed Kamran. Starting from January 11, 2023, the serial also features Rabia Naureen, Ayesha Gul, Fazila Qazi, Qaiser Nizamani, Hira Tareen, Noman Habib, Afraz Rasool and others.

Fardeen doesn’t think that it makes any difference that he has said 3 talaq to Azmiya. He says that talaq doesn’t happen if said in anger.

I like how subtly the drama hinted on our culture and how distant we are from our Deen. For one, this is a prevalent problem in our society that even after talaq a man and his ex-wife live together in a life of sin thinking that the talaq has not happened.
For second, how little we know about our religion.
Azmiya knows that the talaq has happened. Fardeen tells her:
You don’t even offer namaz regularly. How do you know about this

On one hand, Azmiya doesn’t want to attend the function, but on the other hand, she is ready to go to Fardeen’s house without any relation between them. This girl is the most confused one ever. There is only one person who’s more confused than her.

Zaki is driving Azmiya to the parlour. He tells Azmiya to stand her ground and not trust Fardeen. Azmiya does what she does best-snaps at Zaki.

Azmiya and Fardeen have a photoshoot. The photographer keeps telling them to smile and stand closer. It was so annoying even to watch. If I had seen such a shoot, I have have wanted to shoot… You know…

Azmiya tells Zaki that she’s going this ordeal for her mother. This girl and her stupid reasons… Aaj kal ki duniya mein aisi mand-buddhi ladki bhi hoti hai?

I have decided to let this drama pass. I don’t want to watch something that makes my blood boil. I have enough shit in real life.
