HUM TV’s drama serial Mere Ban Jao is a story of love, trust, deceit and repercussions. Featuring the versatile Zahid Ahmed, Kinza Hashmi and Azfar Rehman in lead roles, the serial conveys a very important message related to the use of social media, repercussions of blind trust and sharing of personal and intimate moments online without realizing the disaster it can cause and the impact it can have on one’s life. Produced under the banners of Moomal Entertainment and MD Productions, the serial is written by Samira Fazal and directed by Ahmed Kamran. Mere Ban Jao Episode 8 Written Update & Review
Azmiya surprised me today, twice. First, she tells Fardeen’s family about the divorce. Saleema takes Azmiya’s side and promises to bring Azmiya home the next morning. Second, when the two families sit together to discuss the “matter”, Azmiya gives the proof that Fardeen had come to Azmiya’s room.
It was sad to see that both times her bravado met with disheartening response. While it was expected of Fardeen to refute Azmiya’s words, it was Murad who shocked me the most. Your son did something awful and doing worse by claiming to be innocent and blaming it all on the bride. And yet you “plot” to put Azmiya in her place. Do you have no shame?
On lighter note, as usual, Zaki and Nadra’s sibling bond and their fun banter made this episode somewhat watchable. I understand what this drama is trying to show, but it’s just too painful to watch. I don’t think I have the stomach to see such brutal assassination of Islamic values. Also, watching Azfar Rehman just isn’t fun, even if Zahid Ahmed is an absolute fav.
So, I guess I won’t be watching this drama unless I hear good things about it.
Speaking of Zahid… My new novella Scandalous Ever After about Sanam & Zahid is released today. Read it on Amazon.
