Introduction

The story of #PyariMona revolves around the main lead Mona, an overachiever, strong and courageous girl who excels in everything she does but, being a plus-sized person, Mona has to face challenges, problems, provocations and taunts just because she doesn’t meet the conventional standards of beauty set by our society. The serial highlights body shamming, bullying, harassment and its social and mental implications on the victim in a society with unrealistic expectations from women and stringent standards of beauty. Pyari Mona is an unconventional and interesting story of Mona as she navigates through her life. Written by Haseeb Ahmed, directed by Ali Hassan and produced under the banner of Momina Duraid Productions, the serial also features Mashal Khan, Adnan Jafer, Muhammad Hunbal, Naureen Mumtaz, Uzma Baig, Shaheen Khan and others.

Pyari Mona Episode 10  Written Update and Review 

Babar and Mona are married. Babar walks out the moment the nikaah is over

Babar is out on the streets driving rashly recalling Mona’s bitter words for him. Then he stops and just bawls remembering everything-from his love for Samia to Khalid’s threat to Shaista’s convincing words.

On the other hand, Mona calls Irfan. I didn’t like it. It was her wedding day. Why should she call a friend. It is bound to create conflicts between Irfan and Kinza. 

Back home, Mona locks the room from inside. Babar comes home and loses his calm seeing the door locked. 

The way they start their married life with an argument was so much fun. The morning quarrel was sweet and fun. They already have a chemistry and it’s electrifying the screen. 

Babar loses a campaign and is seriously upset about it. Mona still tries to make things work but Babar is still in anguish to the point that he even considers ending the marriage. That was painful to see. 

And then the rest of the Episode was about Mona taking care of herself, understanding herself and identifying her strengths, look wise. She even starts exercising, and Babar sees her putting a lot of effort. But he says nothing.

Review 

I liked that the nikaah scene was quite. Not only did it save us some time but it also skirts around the shar’ii mas’la that the nikaah and talaaq in dramas might happen for real. Just saying, this was a tasteful way to go about the ceremony.

I loved how Kinza casually let’s it slip that her mother has asked her to check Irfan’s phone.

The scene between Mona and Khalid was so sweet. It reminds us of the daughter-father strong bond between them.

This was the best episode of this drama. I thoroughly loved it and I am eagerly waiting for the next episode.
