Tere Bin | Episode 43

Introduction

Tere Bin is a new drama on HAR PAL GEO (Well, it’s not that new). Here’s a snippet from Geo’s official YouTube channel.

Meerab is an ambitious and beautiful young girl who wants to pursue higher studies. Her entire world revolves around her parents and she believes in them the most. Her strong and confident personality makes her stand against social injustices around her.

On the contrary, Murtasim hails from a powerful and influential family. He respects and values the morals and traditions of his family and refuses to let the family down.

Meerab’s life takes an unexpected turn when she finds out about her family’s decision regarding her and Murtasim’s life. Meerab’s hatred towards Murtasim continues to grow as a family secret from the past resurfaces. Coming from different backgrounds and mindsets, Murtasim begins to realize Meerab’s arrogant behaviour towards him and begins to consider her a challenge for himself. On the other hand, Meerab who is used to living her life on her own terms refuses to accept Murtasim’s family traditions and unnecessary social barriers.

Soon their lives go through a series of emotional sufferings and misunderstandings where it becomes difficult for them to coexist. Despite their hatred towards each other, will Meerab and Murtasim accept their true feelings or will the dynamics of ego and self-respect force them to stay apart?

Tere Bin Episode 43 Written Update and Review

Assalam Alaikum dear readers,

I skipped the first scene between Maryam and Haya. I have been working 14 hours a day and I didn’t want to watch anything that would make my blood boil. I also skipped the last scene, because of Haya.

Moving on…

Let’s look at Meerub first. Waqas and Aneela are readying for Maryam’s nikaah. That’s when they discover Meerub unconcious outside the house. Once she is thoda hosh mein, she talks philosophically about truth and lies. Long story short, she claims that she is innocent; that she didn’t know who Malik Zubair was.
And that’s my biggest grouse here.
I understand, she didn’t know that Anas was Malik Zubair. But did she have to go out of her way for Maryam’s love story? We saw how many times she argues with Murtasim and Salma Begum, both. If that was no enough, she helpe Maryam elope. How is that justified? Or does Meerub think that running away from the house for your love is okay? Meerub’s defense is also weak.

“I had asked Maryam to come back after nikaah,” she says.

But what if the person is not interested in nikaah? How could one be so naive and trust someone so blindly? I don’t mind that Meerub is a flawed character. My objection is that she is shown to be doing the right things here. What upsets me more is that people tend to see her as the “victim” and not the “culprit”. I was like, bas karo yaaro. Don’t mess up the already messed up desi mentality.

As for Murtasim, we see him at a very picturesque location, enjoying the weather.

“Baap ki gaddi sambhalte hain, behen kar farz poora karte hain, mohabbat jaye bhaad mein,” Murtasim says.

Bhai, agar itna hi mohabbat thhi toh na le gaya hota Meerub ko? Kisi ne force kiya thha? Nahin na? Meerub was wrong, and you had had enough. Abhi aisa kyi bolne ka?

Overall, this episode left me upset with one of my most favourite characters-Murtasim.

This drama had been a favourite of mine, but lately it’s going crazy and being dragged unnecessarily. I wish the makers tighten up the editing and finish it, QUICKLY.
