Shehnai | Episode 25

Written update and review and rant and whatever

This episode of Shehnai is just a mix of everything else that we’ve already seen in the previous 23 episodes, many times.

Saima, Beenish and Iffi try to knock some sense in the stubborn-head Bakht, but they fail, and Bakht doesn’t listen.
Meerab ask Hunain again to stop doing whatever shit he has planned, but he fails, and Hunain doesn’t listen.
Tooba tries to talk to Munni and tell her about Hunain’s evil intentions, but she fails, and Munni doesn’t listen.

We see the whole family dress up again, get together again, and dance again.

The only good thing that has happened, the only thing that has made some “progress” is that Rafey is engaged to Beenish, and Ahsan is engaged to Saima. About time, huh?

I think this drama had the potential to become a perfect rom-com surrounding marriage, like Baraat series (Azar Ki Aayegi Baraat, Dolly Ki Aayegi Baraat, Takay Ki Aayegi Baraat, Aini Ki Aayegi Baraat).

I love the Baraat series. The idea is so simple – two people are getting married. There will be some drama, some romance, and some fun.

Shehnai had the same ingredients, but their recipe didn’t work. The repetitive dialogues and scenes and loud music and annoying protagonist has reduced to one of the most annoying dramas ever.
