Umrah Diaries | Day 13

25th January, 2020

We toured two nearby markets for a new travel bag and abayas etc. Zilch!

We liked one bag but the shopkeeper was too arrogant and he started to shout at us for no reason. I walked out of the shop, vowing to not buy a bag instead.

As for abaya and prayer scarves, I have seen better quality and variety in Mecca for 15 riyal. Over here, much worse quality and much poorly stitched abayas are for 50 riyals. Say what?

I don’t understand the pricing. People said that Madina is much better in terms of prices and quality. God only knows better.

The prayer scarves are shorter in length, the fabric is thin like paper and will certainly be ruined in two washes. And yet, the prices are insane.

I don’t know if I am going to buy anything from here.
