Tere Aany Se Episode 1 Written Update & Review

We see Rania on her scooter. She is capable of dealing with people, whether it’s the old man who sells petrol illegally or the young guy who tries to tease Rania. And let me tell you, Rania is one badass chick. She’s not afraid to stand up for herself and take charge of her own life.

~

Then, we see Maheer and his crazy family (read cast and character to know more). Maheer and his grandmother are obsessed by the notion of “izzat” and spend money “mercilessly”. Maheer is all set to attend a friend’s wedding, and he sell his grandmother’s gold bangles to show off his monies. Talk about priorities, right? Tch.

~

And then we meet the last family in this story-Farhad’s (read cast and character to know more) but we don’t get much of a glimpse into their lives yet. Maybe they’ll have a bigger role to play in the upcoming episodes.

~

Rania comes to Malik’s wedding to see Sheeda mechanic who’s repairing. No prizes for guessing that this is where Maheer is also present. A silly taunt from a “khala” makes Rania throw away her dupatta and dance.

And that’s where I have the biggest grouse of this drama. Why do we promote dancing etc in dramas? Why do we promote dancing etc in Ramzan special dramas?

Review

The first episode does a fine job of exposition. I liked the perfromances, especially Komal Meer as Rania. If it wasn’t for that dance, I would have loved this  episode. She’s fierce and confident, and I can’t wait to see more of her. Overall, the cast seems to be doing a great job, and the story has potential. I just hope they don’t ruin it with unnecessary dancing and frivolousness.

That’s my take on the latest episode of Tere Aany Se. How did you guys like it? Comment below and let me know. We can start a conversation right here, because we have nothing better to do 😀
