Fairy Tale Episode 31 Part 2Written Update & Review

Assalam alaikum and Eid Mubarak dear readers,

Shabana Mukhtar here, back with the review of finale episode of “Fairytale”.

I didn’t like the beginning of the episode. First we see Ahad Raza Mir as the new host of the gameshow. He meet sans greets fans while AK looks on with a sullen face. And then there was a meta reference when Ahad calls Sameer for a picture and says: hum dono kafi similar dikhte hain. Then, Ahad hosts the show for one segment and goes and talks to AK and reminds “us” all about Eid and it’s essence. Then, AK takes over the responsibility of the gameshow and tells us s’more about Eid kaise manate hain. Bada hi koi pheeka phaka aur forced laga sab.

Ok, so now the show is on. Talal gets a call that Kamal is leaving the house because nobody listened to his instructions of not going to the gameshow. The family is about to leave, but Farjad is like: I’ll handle it.

Back in the studio, AK reads some poetry for his new love-interest (and I hope permanent) Mimi.

Kab yaad mein tera sath nahin
Kab hath mein tera hath nahin
Sad shukr ki apni raaton mein
Ab hijr ki koi baat nahin

Farjad brings Kamal Pasha to the show. It’s time for the bumper prize-a studio apartment, a car and gold. And guess who wins? Ummeed, of course.

Suddenly, Ummeed realizes that she should not seek shortcuts in life. Ummeed’s change of heart was too late and too sudden. And her confession to Farjad in a live show, in front of the studio audience was so sudden. And then Farjad speaks from his heart, and then Kamal Pasha joins them on the stage. It was like a whirlwind of twists coming our way. I still can’t process it.

And then we see Farjad, Ummeed, Sameer and Haya on a road trip. Farjad looked so gorgeous in that floral shirt, a subtle sign that he has changed his ways. The scenery reminded me of a particular scene from Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, by the way. I have more to say about this drama and the finale but let’s keep it for later.
