Motivation

Ah, the elusive topic of motivation.

What motivates me?

I was momentarily stunned on this one. I mean, am I ever motivated? I don’t think so. I feel like my life is all about going through a routine sans any motivation.

That been said, I’m about to dive into this one, and I must admit, it’s like venturing into uncharted waters. Can you blame me? Motivation and I have a relationship that’s, well, complicated. I often find myself standing at the crossroads of ambition and sheer laziness, wondering if motivation is just a myth.

So, what lights my motivational fire? Hold on, let me ponder. Hmm… well, to be brutally honest, I’ve had moments when motivation resembled a distant relative – you know, someone you hear about but rarely interact with. It’s not that I lack goals or dreams, but the art of consistently stoking that inner drive is… let’s say, a work in progress.

Life, for me, often seems like a sequence of days that blend into each other, much like the endless scroll of a social media feed. There are days when I wake up and feel like I could conquer mountains, but then there are those when getting out of bed feels like a colossal achievement. Motivation, my friend, seems to have mastered the art of hide and seek.

But here’s the thing – despite my sporadic rendezvous with motivation, I keep going. Call it sheer stubbornness or an inherent sense of responsibility, but I’ve developed a knack for marching forward, even if my pep talk is more like a half-hearted mumble. It’s like I’m on autopilot, navigating through life’s labyrinth without always having a blazing motivation guiding the way.

In a world that champions the “rise and grind” philosophy, I’ll admit that I occasionally fall into the “rise and… well, drag yourself” category. And that’s okay. Because here’s what I’ve realized: motivation might be the fancy sports car, but discipline is the steady engine that keeps us moving.

So, am I ever motivated? Well, maybe not in the picture-perfect way motivational quotes and Instagram posts suggest. My motivation might not come with a neon sign and confetti, but it’s there – a quiet undercurrent that keeps me pushing forward. And maybe, just maybe, that’s motivation enough. After all, life isn’t always about grand gestures; sometimes, it’s about the unassuming moments that propel us forward, even when motivation decides to play hide and seek.

Assalam Alaikum and Allah Hafiz!
