Qarz-e-Jaan Episode 29 Written Update and Review

Let me recap the episode with these pictures. I had a wedding to attend, and sort through 1300 books. So I don’t have enough energy to recap and review properly.
So, after being thrashed verbally by Bakhtiar (and mentally reliving through every moment of embarassment), Ammaar arrives at the building in dispute.
Crowd: Yeh Bakhtiar saheb ki building hai. Hum un se hi baat karenge.
Ammaar: Main hoon Bakhtiar, Ammaar Bakhtiar. Jo baat karna hai mujh se karo.
The crowd is calm now. The policemen tell that Ammaar needs to talk to Asad, the officer-in-charge. Before going up, Ammaar gets the gun from his car.
We just know where he’s headed, and where the story is headed.
And then he climbs the stairs. The series of shots only only show his anger and his excitement to “fix” things for his father, but also add to a significant portion of episode’s run time.
At one point, he also takes a break, takes in the surrounding and it makes us wonder: bhai ke dimagh mein kya chal raha hai? He has an adrenaline rush that he gets to do something on his own, and he is so desperate to prove himself. OH.SO.DESPERATE.
Asad, an honest officer, is on the top floor giving instructions to his team. Ammaar starts yelling at Asad, asking him to vacate the premises within a few seconds. He pulls out his gun and starts counting. Asad requests Ammaar to calm down, and that they can sit and talk. Meanwhile, Beenish is trying to call Asad.
Asad’s phone starts to ring, Ammaar can’t cotrol his anger and shoots.
As Asad falls to the ground, this is how Ammaar reacts. Is he high? Is he relieved? Or is he feeling guilty?
I think he’s high, and content that he “fixed” the problem. But he aint guilty, not even in the slightest.
The phone keeps ringing, and ringing, and ringing. Beenish is trying to call Asad asking what would he wear to the dinner at Asim’s. We can see in Asad’s eyes that he longs to pick up the call.

Beenish’s Reaction

Imagine

Ammaar’s plight

Ammaar is now in the jail cell, the guilt finally hitting him, hard.
And he seems scared, of all the low-time criminals around him. I was like, they aren’t as bad as you are.

Bakhtiar’s Reaction

Look, how dejected he is. And we don’t feel sorry for him, do we? At this point, I was like, am I a hardened person now? Why don’t things make me cry? Whether it was Maala’s death or Bakhtiar’s sadness, why am I not bothered?

And he cries.
And I still feel nothing.
Later, he’s sitting alone in his room. Barkat comes to console her son.
Bakhtiar: Maa ji, mujhe akela chhor dijiye.

Review

So, this was the highly anticipated episode. Huh? Well executed and delivered on the promise.
A line from today’s episode that stuck to my mind:
Bakhtiar to Barkat: Behzad mara thha toh Bisma bewa huyi thhi. Asad qatl hua hai aur Beenish bewa huyi hai.
Matlab hamara kutta kutta aur tumhara kutta Tommy? Also, if Bakhtiar’s mourning Beenish’s plight (and Asad’s death has already taken a backseat in his eyes), why is he looking at that picture (I’m assuming that’s Ammaar)? Who’s that with Bakhtiar (like how (Deepak Parwani looks as a young man)? If it’s Beenish, I guess it’s alright. But I thought it’s Ammaar and  Bakhtiar is thinking: Damaad mar gaya, beti bewa ho gayi aur beta jail chala gaya.
Anywho, I liked that Asad is written off, and not Ammaar. I guess this would be legal battle that Nashwa would fight snd learn the lessons (law lessons, life lessons, not love kessons–love the alliteration) that Burhan was trying to teach her when she’s an intern.
Beenish’s fear and denial and breakdown was so real. She good.
So, that’s the short version of it. I’ll try to write more, if I get time, that is.
