This is only for those readers who understand Urdu but can’t read it. On Goodreads, some people asked meabout Roman transliteration of Peer-e-Kamil. I couldn’t find it, so I made a mental note to try and make it available to others for free when I get time. Then I forgot about it because I never get time.
And this morning, I got this book. Some kind soul had enough time to transliterate, print, and spiral bind and bring it home.
Anyone interested in reading the roman version can borrow from me.

“Mujhe kya pata wo kahan hai aur mujh se raabta kyun nahin kar rahi. Baaz dafa mujhe lagta hai usse mujh se zyada tumhein dilchaspi hai.”
Use bilkul andaaza nahin tha ke Hasan ka ye tajassus aur dilchaspi kisi majboori ki wajah se thi. Wo buri tarah phansa hua tha. Salar ka khayaal tha ke Imama ab tak Jalaal ke paas jaa chuki hogi aur ho sakta hai ke wo usse shadi bhi kar chuki ho agarche usne Imama se Jalaal ki shadi ke barey mein jhoot bola tha magar use yaqeen tha ke Imama ne uski baat pa yaqeen nahin kiya hoga. Wo uske paas dobara zaroor gayi hogi. Khud Salar bhi chahta tha ke wo khud Jalaal se raabta qayem karey ya phir zaati taur par jaa kar ek baar usse mile. Wo jaanna chahta tha ke Imama uske sath reh rahi hai ya nahin, magar filhaal ye dono kaam uske liye na mumkin the. Sikandar Usman musalsal uski nigraani karwa rahe the aur wo is baat se bhi waaqif the ke wo nigraani karwane wale waahid nahin hain. Hashim Mubeen bhi yahi kaam karwa rahe the aur agar wo Lahore jaane ka iraada karta to awwal to Sikandar Usman use jaane hi na dete aur bil farz jaane ki ijaazat de bhi dete to shayad khud bhi uske sath chal padte aur wo ye nahin chahta tha. Waqt guzarne ke sath sath is saare maamley se uski dilchaspi kam se kam hoti jaa rahi thi. Use ab ye sab kuch ek himaaqat lag raha tha. Aisi himaaqat jo use kaafi mahengi pad rahi thi. Sikandar aur Tayyab ab hama-waqt ghar par rehte the aur use kahin bhi jaane ke liye baaqaida ijaazat leni padti thi. Hasan ab usse kam kam milne laga tha. Wo uski wajah bhi nahin jaanta tha. Is surat-e-haal so wo bahot bore ho raha tha.
