Zanjeerain Episode 15 Written Update and Review
I love how smart Bano is. From spending time with Zarmala/Rabiya to giving her medicines, from gifting her own new clothes to making sure Rabiya knows she knows the truth about Mudassir, from taking a stand in front of Noor and Sohrab to saying she blindly trusts Sar Buland, she’s almost perfect…and soft spoken. Oh, so soft spoken. (Sahar Hashmi really surprised me. In the first drama I watched of her, it was her dialogue delivery that made me go, yuck and now… She has come a long way).
And the best part is that she very subtly tells Rabiya: Sar Buland is my cousin, my friend and my fiance (so don’t get any ideas).
The moment she sees Rabiya talking to Sar Buland, she starts doubting her cousin, her friend, her fiance again. Why was Rabiya talking to Sar Buland? Hold on. I’m coming to that.
Bibi Jaan is a kind woman but Noor is apparently not. She makes sure that Rabiya feels unwelcome, and then Sohrab says things (when Bano was in kitchen). So, Rabiya, being khuddar and all that, asks Sar Buland to arrange to be sent to Azad Kashmir where her family is, and give her some money for the journey and just say good bye
Sar Buland is like: no, can’t do.
It is at this point that Bano sees them.
I don’t know why, but Sajal’s “khuddar act” failed to impress me. I like such heroines: practical, no nonsense, with a list in hand to plan things; I write such heroines: I have several pen names but somehow, I couldn’t relate to her.
On the other hand, Torsam is now finding a place to live in Bara Gully. Yeh “matlab kuch bhi” type banda hai bhai. Zafran Khan kills some of his men, and learns that even before Torsam’s men could attack Sherdil and qafila, the “barood ki surangein” burst and killed everyone. So, Sar Buland was right: something was fishy. All the events so far point at Sohrab but should we expect another twist? Who knows?
Salaam!
