Zanjeerain Episode 31 Written Update and Review
New Couple
Ok, so the newlyweds are in their room. Sar Buland knows this isn’t something they wanted, what they want is justice and truth (apparently).
“This too shall pass.” Sar Buland tells Rabiya.
Achanak se Angrezi mein baat karni shuru kar di Sar Buland ne? Trying to be more formal, or more casual?
Danny Z weeping outside his room was so freaking good. It is these quiet moments in which he shines. Awaz kachhi hai thodi uski (speaking voice, when he croons “main yahan hoon muntazir” people go weak in the knees) and loud scenes are so not his thing.
Oh, speaking of nice acting, in last episode, before the nikaah, Rabiya remembered Mudassir while Sar Buland remembered his time with Bano. It was very nicely done. I sat down to hours after watching the video and this detail slipped my mind until now.
Maa Beta
Some dua and sweet moment.

Question: Why do all dramas show this way of namaz? Kishwar Jahan and Khushbakht in Dar-e-nijaat had their hair showing and then Bibi Jaan in this drama: hair and neck both showing; baal dikhte huye kaunsi namaz hoti hai bey? Or do they do this intentionally to tell us: “this is just a drama?”
Waleema
Bibi Jaan wants a big waleema, and rightly so. Sar Buland makes some excuse.
Sohrab Khan’s Dilemma
Sohrab snaps at Noor for no reason at all (chor ki dadhi mein tinka). Zafran Khan’s sends a message to Sohrab asking for a meeting. Sohrab is curious so he agrees.
Gul Mehr discretely learns about this plans. I wonder she’d be able to do anything about it.
Shirin’s Predicament
Shirin… isn’t keeping well. So, she meets Zargoon to pass a message to Sohrab. “Khan se kaho mujhe zaroori milein. Zindagi aur maut ka sawal hai.”
Rabiya soon learns about this. Shirin doesn’t tell the truth, though. Will Rabiya tell Sar Buland?
Shirin tells Sohrab about the “majboori”. Sohrab doesn’t give two hoots about the “news”. Shirin begs and pleads and Sohrab says the most predictable words: “You’ll have to marry Zargoon.”
Bechara Zargoon. From his first scene, I knew, he’d be Qurbani ka bakra… and how.
Review
Another fast-paced episode which felt very very short. I’m guessting a few more episodes? What do y’all think?
Salaam!
