Meet Hamna
So, Khushbakht comes home to a guest at Aneesa’s (a neighbour) house. Hamna claims to be Abu Bakar’s wife and says “ab baap ka naam nahin hai”. So, presumably the same story as Khushbakht?
By the way, in all of these subplots, I don’t see how Shahryar and Sahar thread will be woven. Would they play some other generation? Like Khushbakht’s past or something?
The Gossip
Aneesa and others gossip about Abu Bakar
Zamane ka kuch pata nahin chalta, deen wale kab bey-deen ho jayein. Haya waley kab bey-haya ho jayein.
The Haw Moment
Kishwar Jahan doesn’t like that Haseeb and Shamsa have already announced Zaryab and Zamil’s mangni. Haseeb and Shamsa defend Zamil. Kishwar Jahan breaks the news. Zaryab starts yelling at Kishwar Jahan, and then lets it slip that “kabhi kabhar toh aap bhi pee lete hain”.
Haw, hayeee!
Haseeb sends Zaryab to her room, Shamsa makes an excuse and walks out, leaving Kishwar Jahan to worry alone.
Zaryab’s younger sister sides with Kishwar, breaks the news that she knows about Zaryab spending the night outside the house. Zaryab plays the “older sister” and gives a shut up call. Koi iss chhoti behen ka naam bataye.
The Fuss
Khushbakht treats Hamna well, calls Abu Bakar but doesn’t break the news because he hasn’t eaten yet. Only a mother can be so caring.
But she’s also a curious soul. She wants to see nikaahnama, Hamna says: mere paas nahin hai. Khushbakht asks about phone, Hamna says: she left it behind. I call BS. This girl is trapping Abu Bakar.
Later, Khushbakht calls Abu Bakar again and asks him to come home.
The Confrontation
Haseeb lies to Kishwar Jahan but she’s so clear in her head.
Kishwar Jahan: Allah ki hadd to todte ho na tum.
Haseeb: Society mein sab kuch chalta hai
Kishwar Jahan: Society mein toh bahot kuch chalta hai. Toh kya har gunah karoge?
The usual UA style of dialogues.
Zamil’s New Stunt
Zamil leaves the house for a week, under depression.
“Ek ke baad ek ghalti hoti ja rahi hai. Iss se pehle koi bahot badi ghalti ho, main yaha se ja raha hoon.”
That message and Zaryab’s reaction to it tells us enough that something has transpired the night of Faryal’s night. I just hope that the team doesn’t show anything “vulgar”.
When Zamil’s parents ask Zaryab about “ghalti”, Zaryab lies.
Abu Bakar is Home
Both Abu Bakar and Hamna are shocked to see each other. And the episode ends as he says: “Tum?”
Bahot ghalat hai. Ek hafte ka intezaar.
