Mitti De Baway Episode 5 Written Update and Review
Salaamu!
I am not in a good mood these days, don’t feel like watching or reviewing dramas but have binged one old American series Hot in Cleveland, more on that may or may not appear later on this blog. Today, finally, as I realized the backlog of three weeks worth of stuff to watch, I lay in my bed, determined to get at least three items off my list. Without much further ado, let’s get started with this episode that has been dissected on instagram already.
This episode starts with weeping Bilqees and a calm Nazeer consoling his wife: I understand your pain but rukhsati had to be done today.
And cut to two eids have passed, and Bilqees has not visited her maika. Nazeer insists, Bilqees makes some excuses. Then, the couple has two kids, and Nazeer still doesn’t understand why Bilqees doesn’t visit her maika. She makes up some shit about manhoosiyat but doesn’t say that she was forbidden to set foot inside her maternal home.
By the way, young Nazeer sounds exactly like Junaid Khan.

Okay, so it’s Kausar’s nikaah day and guests have gathered. Nausheen is writing a letter to Achhi. Mai Phatan is eating and complaining about the Shah family (she has diabetes, motiya, etc) and asks .
And then Baala comes to Shah’s house. At first, he’s humiliated. But then it’s Baala’s turn. Correction, then it’s Mai Phatan’s turn.
Mai Phatan: Baala was the weakest amongst all of Billo’s lovers.
Of course, the Shah’s still pin the blame on Baala.
Samia Mumtaz stole the whole show in one scene. No matter how many episodes this drama has, and how many fine performances we see, Samia Mumtaz will always top the list.

Baala: Naseeb khota nikal aaye khair, zanani khoti nikal aaye, ghaata hi ghaata.
Nausheen hears all this silently and changes her letter. Nazeer and Shah Saab are stunned; Shah Saab completely believed Mai Phatam’s words and weeping that his lineage is ruined whereas Nazeer doesn’t believe anything and hopes that Bilqees will deny everything. She doesn’t.
Now, Shah Saab wants to humiliate Bilqees’s family. Pehle Baala ki insult ki, phir Bilqees ki. This coming from a guy who claimed ki “hum takabbur nahin karte” was a bit much.

Iqbal is finally back home, and gets ready. The guests incidentally talk about Iqbal’s “nasl” repeatedly. On the other side, Bilqees steps outside the house stealthily.
Ab yeh phadda karegi, and the revenge will continue till the end of time. Yuck! Tell me honestly, abhi se hi “bahot ho gaya” wali feeling nahin aa rahi?
