Mitti De Baway Episode 12 Written Update and Review

Salaamu!

1. The Predictable Turn

The episode begins with a very predictable, very stale “tamasha” at Qamrunnisa’s house and Baala’s loud confession: kaar wali hai meri.

I like how Qadar’s dilemma is shown, angry teenager upset with his mother for remarrying. Baala makes sure Qadar is taken care of. Baala is doing his part; it’s Qadar who we need to worry about.

2. The Devil Herself

Just as I expected, Billo has killed Pir Saab. Shah Saab comes to see Pir Saab but goes back, dejected, missing Pir Saab’s janaza. The “rang” playing after this scene gave me goosebumps. This kalaam has a strange impact on me every time.

Zohra isn’t happy about Billo changing the ways the aastaana is run. Apparently Billo is the gaddi-nasheen now. Some bitter conversation with Zohra tells us just how awful Billo is.

P.S. Pir Saab was from Chishti lineage; I just learned today. The other three orders are Qadiri, Suhrawardi, and Naqshbandi.

3. Meeting the Other Devil

Phajja and Baala talk; just two worried fathers.

4. The Confrontation

Baala meets Zareena, hears her bitterness (she’s moving out with Ibrahim) but learns about Joji’s changes ways. Then we see Joji at a club, drinking, dancing.

The confrontation was short, and I thank the team for not prolonging it.

Seedha ho ja Joji, ghalat kaam ko main kaafi hoon.

5. Billo’s Gaddi

Billo is finding more ways to make money: like taking money to break the engagement for “mashooq aap ke qadmon mein” type, “do number dhande ki kamai ko ek number banane ki tarkeeb” type. Kareem, Pir Saab’s long-standing caretaker objects to it, but Billo uses fake claims “Allah ko takabbur nahin pasand” and fake humility “maybe they’ll become righteous after meeting me”.

Review

I don’t have much to add as a separate review section. I watched this episode 10 days too late. Sorry about that.
