Hey there, lovely readers! 🌼
Today’s daily prompt: How do you manage screen time for yourself?
Hey there, it’s Shabana Mukhtar, and today I want to talk about something that most of us are probably dealing with in this digital age: screen time. How do you manage your screen time? For some, it might be a breeze, but for me, it’s a constant struggle.
The Daily Screen Time Dilemma
Let’s start with a confession: I don’t manage my screen time effectively. On a good day, I’ll spend about two hours on YouTube. But when it’s a rough day, that screen time can stretch well into the night, leaving me feeling like a digital zombie. Now, imagine pairing those hours with a full day of office work, which clocks in at around 10-12 hours. It’s not just crazy; it’s unhealthy, I know.
The Weekend Escape
The only respite from this digital avalanche is the weekend, when my sisters come to visit. It’s our family time, and during those precious moments, I can actually distance myself from the screens. We chat, laugh, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company. It’s during these weekends that I can momentarily escape the digital abyss and regain my sense of presence in the real world.
The Cry for Help
So, here I am, baring my screen time struggles to the world. I’m calling it a “struggle” because, well, it is. It’s a constant battle to manage my screen time and regain some balance in my life. It’s not easy, but recognizing the issue is the first step, right?
If you have any tips, advice, or stories to share about how you manage your screen time, I’m all ears. Feel free to drop a comment, and maybe together, we can conquer the digital abyss and find a healthier relationship with our screens. Until then, wish me luck in this ongoing battle!
