Shopping Spree | Flipkart Big Dussera Sale October 2023

I haven’t posted one of these in a while.

That’s because I’m refraining from shopping. I have three cupboards full of clothes, most of which I don’t wear because they aren’t too comfy to wear at home, and I hardly ever go out. If and when I go out, I wear abaya, and I have 15 of those, too.

Long story short, I can’t afford to do more shopping unless I buy a house just for my clothes.

For the past year or so, I’ve made it a habit to browse through dresses, abayas, shoes and whatnot. This has been working fine for me… until this Sunday.

I caved to the pressure, guilty as charged, but it was also a practical purchase. Hear me out.

This year’s summer stretched well into October. The temperate doesn’t allow me to switch to my winter wear, and I have to repeat wearing my summer wear until now. Most of them are well-worn and desperately crying to help-to be discarded.

Before I throw them out or repurpose them, I need more “stash” for the next summer, right?

So, when I found a great deal on Flipkart, I couldn’t resist.

This is the combo that I absolutely loved: Link to Flipkart

The prices are currently slashed to INR 428 for the combo, which is like throwaway price. I was like: haw! I better hurry. Add to Cart,  and checkout.

But…

I didn’t have an account. Thankfully, my brother did. I asked him to login to my phone so I could grab the deal before the prices go back up. I was able to secure the deal for INR 299 for the combo.

Isn’t that amazing? I can’t wait to wear this on Friday.

Review

I had to wait for almost a week to get this but I was am thrilled that it arrives while I’m in Pune. The colour is exactly how it is in the pictures, the fabric is just as I expected and the print is just to fresh.

But there is one problem, a huge problem that makes this purchase questionable. You see, while the dress is for an adult, the armholes are for kids, too small unless you’re paper-thin.

I contemplated whether I should keep the dresses and make alterations for my fit, but it seems like too much of work. Finally, I’ve decided to return it.

Sigh! This wasn’t what I was expecting at all.

PS: this isn’t an affiliate post. I shared about it because I am a genuine buyer and share my opinion.
