Drama Review | Parizaad | Episode 3

Parizaad, the new HUM TV drama is based on Hashim Nadeem’s novel of the same name. For brief summary of the novel and my review of the same, read here.

Bechargi… That’s the word that comes to mind when we see Parizaad. And, kudos to Ahmed Ali Akbar for portraying the role so well.

Ahmad Nasaaz makes his entry. To know more about him, read my book review. I don’t know his real name, but Adeel Afzal has a poet like personality. He also has a very nice voice suitable to poetry recitation. Oh, do check the cast and characters for other characters and the actors who play these roles.

I like how he smiles when he parts ways with Nasaaz.

Parizaad also tells Saeeda about Majid so she wouldn’t dream anymore about Majid.

Even in this episode, Majid doesn’t tell the truth to Asghar, or anybody else. What a munafiq he is!

Saleem, the guy hajjan bua talked about, comes to see Saeeda. He’s old with greying hair. Neither Saeeda nor Parizaad are happy. Even Akbar and Asghar have a reservation about Saleem’s age, but the two bhabhis are too evil to let that be a hindrance. Poor Saeeda! She should have refused.

Shoki is like the best character of this drama so far. He’s so honest and nice with Parizaad. I like that this story offers a range of characters. We have Saeeda, and Nasaaz who understand Parizaad. There’s Shoki who seemed awful at first but he has a heart of gold. And then, we have Naheed and Majid who have a reputation, but they not only have a secret but also exploit people like Parizaad and his vulnerability.

I love this drama. This is one of the best dramas of 2021
