Rosie and the Dreamboat (The Improbable Meet-Cute collection #3) by Sally Thorne
About Author
I couldn’t sleep after Fajr, picked up my phone, was determined to not check emails/messages from work, so opened kindle app.
And then got anxious so bad, couldn’t sleep at all.
Recap
Claustrophobia, unable to breathe, someone help me. NOW.
Review
I went into this book happy, having read Sally Thorne earlier. I LOVED The Hating Game (see what I did there?) I was ready for another fun story but…
If it wasn’t triggering for my anxiety, it would have been a good read, I guess? I didn’t particularly like Bree, or the banter amongst firemen (seemed out of blue and without context) and somehow kept imagining Crazy Rich Asian’s female lead’s face for Rosie.
Not a bad story, just the premise was triggering, which I missed because I didn’t read the description before downloading a book as normal people do. If you’re like me and can feel the walls closing in on you just by reading a book, do yourself a favour and skip it.

“I’ll meet him in the bed next to mine in the nursing home. At this point, I don’t even care who he is or what he looks like. He’s entertained us for years.”

The relaxation promised by Dionne has taken me too far in the wrong direction.
The Final Verdict
If you’re like me and can feel the walls closing in on you just by reading a book, do yourself a favour and skip it.
