Book Review | Worst Wingman Ever | Abby Jimenez

Worst Wingman Ever (The Improbable Meet-Cute collection) by Abby Jimenez

About Author

Abby Jimenez is a Food Network winner, #1 New York Times best selling author of Just for the Summer, and recipient of the 2022 Minnesota Book Award for her novel Life’s Too Short. Her book Yours Truly was the first romance novel in the history of Book of the Month to win the coveted Dolly Award for Book of the Year. Abby founded Nadia Cakes out of her home kitchen back in 2007. The bakery has since gone on to win numerous Food Network competitions and, like her books, has amassed an international following.

Abby loves a good romance, coffee, doglets, and not leaving the house.

Non-review Rant

I am WEAK. I was supposed to read only the first book of this The Improbable Meet-Cute collection. I fail, but I’m not unhappy.

Amazon Original Stories series a new way of reading many authors I haven’t read before. Abby Jimenez is one of them.

Moving on.

Recap

A wrongly delivered valentine note, FMC dealing with impending loss of a dear one and the MMC who is so kind, you want him around you. This has humour, tragedy, romance, and even mystery.

Review

THIS.IS.AMAZING.

This story also has elements of being an epistolary story, and so it obviously reminded me of Book Review | The Exception to the Rule | Christina Lauren

LOVED IT.

Time is such a precious thing. How you spend it, how you waste it. And it becomes even more valuable as the hourglass runs out, because you will never get more of it. I see it every day. The panic as the last grains of sand fall.

The sand was running out of the hourglass.

That’s the thing about kindness. You never know how big the ripple is. How one little selfless gesture can make all the difference for the person who receives it.

The Final Verdict

Must read.
